Roles, Timeline and Engineering Goals

Engineering Goals

Our car:

1) Should be able to move on a rough surface at high speed for a long distance. This can ensure that our car is efficient.

2) Should be of an appropriate weight. Not too heavy, as it will reduce the performance of the car, as more inertia will be acting on the car. Not too light too, as then there will be not enough downforce of the car, which will directly result in the car not having enough grip, causing the wheels to "slip".

3) Should be durable, so as to be able to withstand the stress of the rigorous testings.

4) Should be easily repairable if damaged. This is important as damages is unavoidable, and we want to get back to action as soon as possible.
